Oh, July. This has been my favourite month of  the year since I was a little kid. I love that school is out and long days at the lake are in. June in Review + July Goals on the Homestead

For the most part, I don’t really know how June was here on the farm. My husband, little girl and I were away for over half of this month. While I am tired of being on the road, I do acknowledge that we’re lucky to be able to leave the homestead in capable hands. It’s an advantage of community, and something a lot of small farmers don’t get to experience. May in Review + June Goals on the Homestead

As my fellow farmers will know, things get crazy once the seeds hit the soil. Our garden is in full bloom. We have greens for the farmers market every week. Other fresh bounty I’ve enjoyed this month has included rhubarb, strawberries, herbs, and asparagus. Right now we’re planting our corn outdoors, drinking strawberry kombucha, weeding, and working the farmers market every week.
